2016 Award Recipients

NL businesses and organizations who have have done something special to beautify New London:

City Center District
for hanging baskets and planters and garden plots around the downtown area

Chef Tomm Johnson of New London High School and Charles Mulligan of the Science and Technology Magnet High School of Southeastern Connecticut
for their leadership in the establishment of the Whaler Café Garden Project

Mitchell College
for improving the appearance of the entrance to Mitchell Woods on Montauk Avenue and upgrading paths though the park

Joe Standart
for his “We Are – A Nation of Immigrants” project, which featured large photographs of community members in empty downtown storefronts
